GET TO KNOW ME

A Licensed Professional Here to Guide You

My undergraduate training in Psychology, and Graduate training in Clinical Pastoral Training, Clinical Chaplaincy and Psychotherapy has deepened and enhanced my personal and professional interest and understanding of what it means to be a human being today.

I began my journey as a certified elementary school teacher and later transitioned into Pastoral Ministry, with certification as a Certified Clinical Pastoral Counsellor, Clinical Chaplain and Registered Psychotherapist. My recent journey takes me through the completion of a Doctor of Ministry program in Clinical Pastoral Care, Counselling and Psychotherapy. These various roles that I have been engaged in, have allowed me the opportunity for personal and professional growth and enhanced my ability to serve the needs of my clients.

I am available to work with people from all cultural backgrounds, religious beliefs, ages, gender, sexual orientations, and marches of life.

As a therapist, my objective is to provide a safe environment, a nonjudgmental attitude, and a caring and empathic stance as I journey with you in the therapeutic process.

Therapy, to me, is about helping people to find meaning and purpose in life, amid crisis, distress, loss or grief. As we navigate our interpersonal relationship within the therapeutic process, I seek to understand your behaviour, thoughts and feelings in order to help you create a more satisfying and authentic life. I do so by listening, as it were, with a “third ear” to your unique narrative. I ask relevant questions that may enable you to connect the dots of past events to their present effects in your life. I believe that you and I are more alike than different, yet you are unique in your own way. Therefore, my role is to be an empathic listener to you allowing you to make meaning from that which seems overwhelming and meaningless.
